Mandatory Requirements

5+ years of native iOS engineering, with deep expertise in Swift and SwiftUI. Strong expertise in Backend mobile engineering. Extensive production experience designing offline-first apps with SQLite for local data caching and offline state management. Proven track record in building mobile architectures that manage network latency, backend outages, and background data synchronization. Practical experience consuming gRPC services and working with Protocol Buffers on iOS. Reactive architecture experience such as MVVM, Redux, or TCA for managing concurrent data loading and UI state. Understanding of iOS security fundamentals, including Keychain management, certificate pinning, and OAuth2 authentication flows. Availability to work onsite in Melbourne for the first 2 to 4 weeks.

Desirable Requirements

Experience with other backend technologies such as Node.js or Java. Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Google Cloud. Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks for iOS. Understanding of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes. Experience with analytics tools to measure app performance.
